Using DivX Pro™ with Adobe Premiere Pro
Step 1
Open Adobe Premiere Pro and select New Project.
Step 2
Add your media to the Project window, and then arrange it in the Timeline window.

From the File menu, select Export then Movie.
Step 4
From the Export Movie window, click the Settings button.
Step 5
In the Export Movie Settings window, select General in the left-hand pane, then choose Microsoft AVI from the File Type drop-down menu.

Select Video in the left-hand pane of the Export Movie Settings window.
Step 7
Choose DivX Pro(tm) 5.2.0 Codec from the Compressor drop-down menu.
Step 8
Click Configure to configure the DivX encoder. (Please consult The Official DivX 5.2 User Guide for further information on configuring the DivX encoder.)
Step 9
Set the Aspect Ratio of your video.
Step 10
Disable Recompress in the Data Rate area.
Step 11
Select Keyframe and Rendering in the left-hand pane of the Export Movie Settings window.
Step 12
Set the appropriate interlace properties for your source. Setting the interlace options incorrectly may result in reduced resolution, horizontal lines, or undesirable artifacts where motion occurs in your video.
Step 13
Disable Optimize Stills.
Step 14
Click OK on the Export Movie Settings window to return to the Export Movie window. Enter a file name and click Save to begin encoding your DivX® video!
While your movie is encoding to the DivX format, you can start popping the popcorn and prepare yourself for a DVD-quality DivX® movie experience. You can play the DivX video on any computer with the DivX® codec installed, but if you already own a DivX® Certified DVD player, you can enjoy a big screen, surround sound, movie theatre-like experience from the comfort of your favorite living room chair!

Using DivX Pro™ with Pinnacle Studio 9
Step 1:
Open Pinnacle Studio 9 and prepare a movie to export.
Step 2
Select Make Movie from the View menu.
Step 3
From the Make Movie interface, click the AVI button.
Step 4
Click Settings to open the Pinnacle Studio Setup Options window.
Step 5
Under Video settings, enable List all codecs.
A warning dialog will pop up alerting you that Pinnacle Studio may not be able to work with all of the codecs you have installed. Click OK to continue.
Step 6
Set the compression to DivX Pro(tm) 5.2.0 Codec and click Configure to configure the DivX encoder. (Please consult The Official DivX 5.2 User Guide for further information about configuring the DivX encoder.)
Step 7
Click OK to return to the Make Movie interface.
Step 8
Click Create AVI file.
Step 9
Enter a file name and set Save as type to AVI files (*.avi), then click OK to begin encoding your DivX® video.

Citar · Fields (campos): Para esta opción tendremos en cuenta las consideraciones indicadas en 2.4 Vídeo entrelazado (campos) / no-entrelazado y en 1.5 Field Options (opciones de campo)
- Para vídeo con resolución INFERIOR O IGUAL a 288 puntos verticales, selecciona SIEMPRE "No fields" (sin campos, o no entrelazado)
- Para vídeo DV selecciona SIEMPRE Lower field (campo inferior o campo B)
- Para otro tipo de vídeo capturado con más de 288 puntos verticales depende EXCLUSIVAMENTE de la tarjeta con la que fue capturado. Si no sabemos cómo capturó esa tarjeta el vídeo no nos queda más remedio que exportar de los dos modos (con "upper field" primero y luego con "lower field") para averiguarlo.
